Yes, the A1 Net Protect service protects you every time you use the internet via the A1 Macedonia mobile network.

Yes, if a device having activated A1 Net Protect has its Hotspot on, other devices using internet via that Hotspot will be protected while using mobile internet.

A1 Net Protect is designed to deactivate threats as soon as it encounters it, by blocking the access to the webpage or the app.

The monthly rate applicable to the service after the end of the promo period is MKD 29.00. In the month of using the promo period, you will be charged proportionally for the days in which the service has been used. Deactivation will be recorded immediately when requested, but will take place after the expiry of the billing period. That means that in the event the customer has requested for service deactivation, they will still be able to use the service all the way to the expiry of the ongoing billing period, and the whole amount of the monthly rate will be charged.

We recommend paying attention to the recommendations and the notifications of A1 Net Protect; in the event you ignore the warning and still visit the website, you will be exposed to danger and you need to be aware of the risks.

A1 Net Protect contains a base of unsafe web pages and apps which have been identified on global level. The service is designed to automatically detect if a webpage you are searching for is unsafe, that is, it contains viruses or malware or is a phishing site. Its base is constantly being updated.

The A1 Net Protect service also works in roaming every time when you use mobile internet (in roaming), irrespective of the carrier you have selected.

The A1 Net Protect service offers much more than a simple protection when connecting to mobile internet. Additionally, you can also activate settings as follows:

  • Web pages/Apps with entertainment contents. In this section, the service can enable access to this type of web pages/apps in a given period of the day;
  • Web pages/Apps with violent contents;
  • Web pages/Apps with adult contents;
  • Web pages/Apps with advertisements.

All settings can be adjusted on A1 Net Protect portal available at www.a1.mk/netprotect which can be accessed via "Automatic login" (when accessing the link, the mobile data should be on to be automatically recognized and to be granted access) or via the other standard login methods using SMS PIN or using My A1 username and password. We recommend accessing the service using the "Automatic Login" option.

The A1 Net Protect service can be deactivated by sending SMS with text "STOP PROTECT” to 140007 or via the My A1 app in the section Packages > Available national services > A1 Net Protect.

The list of unsafe sites and apps is constantly being updated with each threat it manages to detect.

There is no limitation in terms of the number and the type of web pages which can be added to the black or the white lists via the A1 Net Protect portal.

There is no limitation in terms of the frequency of edits of the white or the black lists via the A1 Net Protect portal.

Any edits consisting of switching certain webpage (from white to black list and vice versa) which requires manual intervention of the user at the A1 Net Protect portal will be valid within 15 minutes.

The A1 Macedonia network is secure; however, when using mobile internet, you might access web pages or apps which are not secure. As you can never be completely sure that a certain link, webpage or app are completely safe, the A1 Net Protect service is there to protect you against this type of threats online.

A1 Net Protects works exclusively through the A1 Macedonia mobile network and DOES NOT work when customers access the internet via Wi-Fi.
